Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet

Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet

Can I let you in on a secret, girl to girl? I am OBESSED with lipstick. Especially nude lipstick. I’m actually kind of a junkie. I have to tell you about the new Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet in the Fawn 05 shade. It’s amazing!

The application is very smooth and the wear is long lasting! Also… I LOVE the shade! Thank you to Burberry for sending me this complimentary to test and review! I highly recommend anyone with an olive skin tone purchasing it at Sephora for $34!

Matte Creme Lip Crayon

Matte Creme Lip Crayon

Last night I came home from a rough day to find a surprise VoxBox on my doorstep from Influenster! It totally made my day. Especially when I opened it to find not one, but three complimentary full-size Bite Cosmetics Matte Creme Lip Crayons just sitting there waiting for me to test and review online 🙂

I’m just going to tell you, I normally hate matte lipstick because I don’t like how it feels on my lips and how after wearing it, you get a clumpy line right where your lips touch. Bite Cosmetics has totally come up with a solution to fix this problem and I could not be happier!

I was sent three shades, Red Velvet, Cava and Glacé.

I can already tell which one is going to be my favorite… definitely Cava. I just love the cool tones and how pretty it compliments my purple and plum eyeshadow today.

It even looks great with my glasses on! Which, if you’re a wearer of glasses, you understand how hard it can be to find shades of lipstick that work with both your color palate for eyes and also toe glasses. I’m so happy with these crayons and will definitely be purchasing for myself once my complimentary samples run out.

Review | Hey Honey Open Your Eyes Contour Serum

Raise your hand if you don’t get enough sleep. Keep them raised if you wake up puffy and have baggy under eyes in the morning. I think that’s the majority of women these days… Working at a break neck pace with hardly any time to breathe, let alone sleep. Do you ever find yourself wishing there was an easy fix for those bags that didn’t take five cups of coffee and three hours of waiting?

I found just the thing and I’m obsessed with it! It’s called Open Your Eyes by Hey Honey. Its this thin serum that goes on when you wake up and actually starts working right away. Sisters, it ACTUALLY works! I can’t tell you how clutch its been to add this to my make up kit for those early mornings and on days when I wake up and my allergies get the best of me. On nights when I have to work modeling jobs late this helps me not look so tired from the day. It’s light weight, doesn’t tingle, doesn’t burn, you virtually can not feel it once it’s dry and it isn’t affected by make up going on over top of it. It’s not too good to be true! I got mine in my Ipsy bag last month but you can find it online here

Review | Nuun Energy Tablets

This morning I had to run to Whole Foods to drop off a packet for a promotion and decided to stop and shop a bit. First of all, Whole Foods on a Saturday morning (especially the one in East End) is like an “in real life” version of frogger. Dodging busy moms and active fitties is not for the feint of heart. Anyway, I’ve been training for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon for the past few months and for whatever reason training this time around is consistently leaving me feeling zonked. I’m starting to think its an imbalance in electrolytes since I am plenty hydrated (I drink almost a gallon of water per day.) Not being a huge fan of Gatorade, this kind of leaves me in a training predicament. Gatorade is super sugary and always gives me a stomachache.

I found a couple of different options in the supplement isle at Whole  Foods but decided to give Berry flavored Nuun Energy a try. It comes 10 tablets in a pack and is sold (at Whole Foods) for $6.99. All you have to do is take the tab out of the tube, break it in half and plop it in a 16 ounce bottle of water. It kind of fizzes and takes about 15 minutes of periodic shaking t dissolve it all, but it’s absolutely delicious! It doesn’t hurt my stomach, is a pretty light pink color and gives me plenty of energy to sustain a workout or a run. Also, there isn’t a funky aftertaste! It leaves your body feeling energized and clean.

There are tons of flavor options for Nuun, I think next time I might go for Mango Nuun or the Green Tea and Ginger Nuun.

Give it a shot and let me know what you think!
